Amazingly powerful

Sky Safari Pro has capabilities normally only found in desktop computer software.

It has easy to use features to see whats up in the sky now (and helps identify objects) as well as listing what will be up later or even events in the coming week. But it also has advanced object search capabilities as well.

I use its equipment list and field of view overlays to help my plan imaging. Its also able to control my telescope mount via the optional SkyFi module.

I used to drag a laptop out, but Sky Safari Pro handles most of what the laptop would have done.
